Sometimes I really wonder if researchers have any idea what they are doing when it comes to mechanical turk. If a read a passage or whatever and then later encounter a page of questions about that passage, some of which have clear unambiguous correct answers that are (to me) obviously attention checks, and some of which may be either asking for my opinion or asking me to parrot back what the passage says... I am going to assume they are all attention checks and parrot back what the passage said even if it is clearly made up bullshit. If you really were asking if I believed the passage, sorry, you are out of luck.
