Thanks, Rpeterson. Quick question. I know those crazy English folk () call french fries "chips" so are we good to call that correct if we see it?
Hey all, I read back quite a few pages but I can't find anything about it, and don't specifically see it in the directions... If the picture is of a meal from McDonalds, and the descriptions just says "McDonalds" is that a match or not??? Sorry I'm sure this has been up here, I just can't find it, and don't want to miss out on the batch Thanks! ^^^ Pretty much along the lines of what Turkey Bacon is asking.
You should ignore eating utensils, napkins, straws, plates, cups, or glasses within any image. Does this mean that if there is a tuna salad sandwich in the picture with a cup of water and the description only says tuna salad sandwich it is a match? What about condiments? Do they have to be noted so if they are not mentioned in the description, do we have to mark one of a few things?
In the tuna example, since the description has fewer items than are in the image, it would be one of a few things. For condiments, one of a few things would be appropriate as well if they are in bottles or glasses (thinking ketchup). A full match could also be an answer here, but one of a few things would be more correct.
That's what I thought. I have to say that the instruction that says a description like "sandwich" is OK is confusing to me. "Sandwich" seems just as generic as "Chinese food".
Thank you but I am still confused about why the rules say to ignore cups or glasses. Are you talking about empty cups or glasses?
The idea is that you could exclude things you would normally expect to see on a restaurant or dinner table. If someone posted a description of "steak" and there was a glass next to it, it would be one of a few. The glass shouldn't interfere with identifying the steak, but it should also be recognized as being in the image as well.
Chinese food could be anything from an egg roll to lobster sauce. A sandwich for the most part is a sandwich, bread with something in between. That is the way I am looking at it.
Sorry that I don't get over here to try to help you guys while they are up. I concentrate on working on the hits.
Thanks everyone! This is the last batch I'll be posting for a while, but I'll update the thread whenever I start a new job.
