My doctor was all for e-cigs. I have been off cigarettes for nearly 3 years. I still use my e-cig. With 6 mg of nicotine. I no longer have congestion in my lungs, I no longer cough. I will never go back.
The acute oral toxicity of propylene glycol is very low, and large quantities are required to cause perceptible health damage in humans; propylene glycol is metabolized in the human body into pyruvic acid (a normal part of the glucose-metabolism process, readily converted to energy)
It's easy to help when you're just starting out, I found, on particularly slow days. Checking the search for new HITs and posting surveys with good TO ratings and pay:time ratios are a good way just to get in the habit of helping. You don't have to sit there and refresh the search over and over, just leave it up in a separate window and refresh it every once in a while, between other stuff. Doesn't take much effort, and I think it'll help you grow into being a respected regular here. Or at least that's what I tell myself I'll do when I get out of my funk and start turking for realsies again
There's warnings on nicotine patches and nicotine gum about the heart attack risk too. I think if someone was smoking cigarettes already, then their body can handle the amount of nicotine found in other things used as quitting agents.
That's because the FDA did a study on the original e-cigs and now all the health professionals base their opinion on it. In order to get a true opinion, they would have to do a study on the new style of e-cigs.
I'm just getting caught up with the thread after going out for dinner, but I say reject them all. mTurk will be a better place without them, and with 1000 rejects, I highly doubt they'll stick around. Just my 2¢ on that. Also, thanks for the huge batch! I did 6 in the morning, and by the time I came back in the afternoon they were already gone. I'll be sure not to leave next time This would be nothing short of epic.
I'm going to order my first e-cig soon. Ego is best, yes? I've actually progressed from smoking menthol cigarettes to little cigars. E-cig is next. Then eventually, quit altogether.
This is how some people quit. I don't want to quit vaping though. I imagine I'll step down to 12 and 6 but I don't think I'll ever want 0. Vaping is already easy not to do as it is. I can go hours and hours without vaping some days. I'll wake up and forget about it, drink coffee, shower, turk for a few hours then go "OH YEAH! I vape!" and grab my ego.
What would be a "new" ecig to try? The ones that I see at my gas stations all look like they have been sitting there forever and the boxes are full of dust. I don't remember the brand, but it's a black box.
