Everyone is talking numbers, so here are mine, which might make you newbies feel better about your low pay days. My best day on mTurk was $34.46, and that was working as much as I possibly could, and largely for a new, good requester who was paying workers very nice bonuses. I think it's pretty reasonable to be able to expect to make at least $10-15, but maybe $1-5 a day (not working for hours upon hours) if you don't want to wear yourself out. Anyone doing better (and there ARE plenty of people who are) knows a lot of secrets s/he may not be likely to tell, probably has a fast computer, and is on their way to Masters. I'm not a newbie, so I have no excuses for low numbers--for me, this is normal!
Missing the point of people doing oscars. If you don't like them, don't do them. They will get done, he doesn't need to raise the pay. I see the value in Oscar's hits. Would I work on them? No. But new people to turking get into a rut, digging their self into a hole with rejections. Oscar can bail you out.
Don't really need to prove anything to a stranger on a forum who thinks we should be grateful for slave wages. And yeah, I'll annoy the hell out of these requestors.
Not in our prisons buddy. We work for three hots and a cot. And our summers our too hot to sleep on a cot, thus you sleep in your boxers. And they took our three hots down to two in 2009.
I don't, but I feel bad for the people who are trying to feed there babies and what not working for multi-million dollar companys that pay $1 a hour is all I was saying thats Un-American and should be called as such
Thank you. Or complain and ***** and act like your mother didn't teach you respect. Then come to the forum and act like you're getting paid.
I do Oscar Smith HITs sometimes, especially in situations where I want to have a $10 day and am at $9.98.
