I have emailed him asking him to reconsider. I don't know what good it will do but I am getting sick and tired of losing requesters to this "masters" qualification. It is such a sporadically granted qualification it's absolutely ridiculous! Why not just grant qualifications based on worker performance?
That is what people have said but Amazon has not said anything officially about how to get a masters qual. Also I have looked the last couple of Tuesdays and I have not seen anything posted from amazon requester.
Masters qual is not performance. It's absolute luck. I have over 50,000 hits approved with 40 rejections. I have a 99.9% approval rating. Yet I've heard of people who just start turking and get it within a month.
Short UX test .50 https://www.mturk.com/mturk/searchbar?selectedSearchType=hitgroups&requesterId=A23NM9GEAV0LLA sorry if this was posted already edit: it says Take a 30 second test
judging by how the hits are decreasing it looks like 2-3 people are completing the hits. then i can't do them. i honestly think they should just get rid of the n/a option. users can still make a lot without it. i did when i returning all the ones i couldn't find.
Same here, it's a load of shit is what it is. Personally, I don't understand the reasoning behind making them "Masters" if they're not as qualified as I am.
just got home haven't read the thread yet.. but i am assuming you mean the e-mail hits? it really makes me mad that people abused the system and screwed it up for all of us.. its very hard to get the masters qual and now we all lose out.. well, hopefully their work will just sit there longer than anticipated and they will fix it.. make it to where you need a certain amount approved and a certain approval rate to do them
I sent Tim an email, didn't really "beg" him to remove it I just explained my current stats and that even I didn't have a masters qualification, and that they appear to be randomly assigned by amazon, and suggested some other qualifications that'd leave him with a good workforce.
"To take this test, please make sure your age is 25 or older and your household income is $40,000 or higher." Sweetheart, I wouldn't be on mturk for Christmas money if our income was that....
