I believe once you return it, you can't accept it again. Not completely clear on how all that works. They all seem to work differently. I actually had a hit expire on me once and I went back, accepted it again and submitted. LOL. But yes, that has saved me many times.
For cslab's "Choose a description for an image" HITs, I find myself consistently selecting the shortest one. If there's something like "___ at a lake", "or ___ at lake ____" is the name of the lake considered extraneous?
