If it's a Qualtrics survey, then the data will be recorded, but in their data, the Finished variable would be a 0, instead of a 1 (1 = completed). So basically, it shows up as an incomplete response, but all the data is there. I've worked with Qualtrics extensively in the past. There are cases where you can set up to discard incomplete responses. If they have this set up, then they would have problems.
