I can usually take a screenshot in about 10-15 tries. If I don't time it so that I push the down button and power button at EXACTLY the same time (like I can't be a few milliseconds off) it doesn't work and I either end up turning the volume down on my phone or triggering the power off screen.
That usually happens to me. It's hit or miss. Took me awhile to learn to get it right the first time. My son sends me snapchat photos so I had several chances to learn how to do it right the first time. Even then, it's hit or miss sometimes.
