Last month I accepted a HIT which was supposed to involve some cleaning up of an email database. The instructions specified contacting the requester to receive a copy of the database to work on. I did so. A few days later, I hadn't received a reply, so I sent a second message. Another few days passed, and I contacted them once more. After that I gave up. This week the $10 HIT auto-approved after the 30-day limit passed. I would have happily done the work they required... but since they never bothered getting back to me or cancelling the HIT, guess I'll accept their $10 as compensation for my few minutes spent trying to reach them.
Did that Hit really got approved? I had that hit accepted and contacted the person but received no reply. And when the timer on the hit was about to expire I returned the hit because I feared that the hit will be rejected if I submit it without any work. Anyways nice to hear that i got approved. There was another hit that paid me 10$ for just suggesting a simple name for a software, I just typed in "SharePoint" and received 10$. This you can see as the competitor of your easiest hit for 10$. LOL.....
The HIT only offered a short time to work on it, if I remember correctly, so I realized it would have been impossible to contact the requester, get the file, and submit the work. Basically instead of submitting the work, which I couldn't since they never sent the file, I submitted a note asking for the file or a link to where I could download it. Wow.. I think you trumped me with that one! Little miracles like these almost make up for bad experiences with other requesters.
