Anybody else become way more concerned about rejections and bans since joining this and other forums? Almost seems like we're more likely to be rejected than not. Between jerk requesters and huge mistakes, is it really as bad as it seems?

Its worse for me. When I find a decent paying requester, it takes a long time to build up trust. Then he cuts his pay in half and I refuse to do more. An never ending cycle.

As you may or may not have read in my previous posts, I'm basically willing to work for scraps, I just want to be paid what is promised for what I do and not to be unfairly blocked. That's the main reason I do so many Oscar hits.

Keep this in mind... Most of the time on Forums dedicated to the discussion of Independent Contractor work are largely dominated by people experiencing issues. A large majority of people will never seek out these forums until they run into a problem. They are working away and reaping the benefits of working for MTurk.

Atleast this is my experience after working for ChaCha also

    Well said, beactivelife.

I'm lots better educated now about rejections and bans, but I wouldn't say I worry about them more. I feel like now I can make good decisions in picking requesters.

Yeah, OP, you might be getting a lil' paranoid. ;) It's probably normal, though, for first hearing about all this stuff in detail! Hopefully you'll relax a bit more and figure out a comfortable way to work.
