  1. How long after submitting your HITs did you get that? I have a pretty decent ability when it comes to writing, so I might consider these. Especially on slow weekend days like this >.<

Everything I'm doing today is either broken or not giving codes or I just plain have to return them. Why am I even awake, today?

What's up with this BTW? I don't know who to be frustrated at--the survey platform or the survey creator.

Anyhow, whenever I turk I have this on hand to message:

"I didn't get a code at the end (it happens), so I took the liberty of submitting my worker ID. I hope this doesn't prove inconvenient. Thanks."

Yeah, I've had to do this like... 5 times in the past two days. Thankfully, there's been no rejections and people who haven't answered back.

That's happened to me at least 3 or 4 times over the years. Given that, and what we know about the general incompetence of requesters, it makes me wonder how easy it would be to just scam the shit out of all the academic requesters by submitting blank survey HITs all over the place and see how many of them approve. (And no, I'm not saying I'm ever tempted to do it, lol.)

That moment when you see a batch on HS that looks like a gold mine, then you click on it and it's a clusterfuck.

Anyone want some cheap pizza and like Papa Johns?

Buy this Groupon Deal for $25 and get a $25 egift card for Papa Johns and 2 large 1 topping pizzas for free. Between now and Dec 27th, use code 50PIZZA and get 50% off all pizzas as well. So you can get around 5 or 6 pizzas for $25

To make it better use mypoints.com and travel thru the Groupon shopping link, use promo code MYPTS20 to get an extra 20% off your order so $20 total

TLDR version, get around 5 Papa Johns large pizzas for $20

Was just about to leave the house, glad I didn't miss them. Thanks.

  12. Anyone get rejections from JS? I submitted two or three before the 2 min mark

  13. How worried should I be about the 2:00 average warning? Do I just autoaccept several and leave several running working from my queue so the time spent per job is higher?

If only twirdman was here to spread insight on why he doesn't do JS

  15. Hrm, JS? Anyone care to elaborate for me?

    Edit: JS = John Smith?

That's what I do, but I saw somewhere that they can still check. Idk if it has to do with the time stamp being like 8 minutes for 90% and then 2:10 on the other 10%.

He rarely rejects. He blocks instead.

Like all Google requesters, he rarely will reply to emails or give feedback, so it's probably better to be safe than sorry with those.

  18. so, most people don't do em?

    edit

god turkopticon is scary. might stay away.

A lot of people do them and have never had problems.

Some people who had done them for a long time with no problems have been blocked.

Some people strictly follow the written time guidelines in them, some don't.

    Up to you.

John Smiths are somewhat unique in that they're terrible hits, but a sizable number of people keep doing them anyway and publicly defending their decision to do so. I won't risk a block for a couple of dollars an hour, but that's just me.
