Maybe. But only if they had bots with 5,000 approved hits. I don't know enough about bots to know if those exist.

Some people run bots. They violate the TOS because they are fully automated. A lot of times they just mark things randomly. They are the main reason for quals and for minimum number approved and for minimum % approved. The bots make a terrible mess and damage mturk's reputation.

 

i think you could have submitted those hits blank, too. the number was dropping at an astronomical pace. astronomical!!!!

 

Bots was probably the wrong word, I was thinking automatic scripting that allowed them to do nothing and just submit them with random or blank answers over and over (a real user with over 5k HITs that just sat back and let it run, returning for occasional captchas).

They would be, yes, that's not what I did. Worst thing I did was let Page Refresh load on them and work out of my queue near the end. Only got 40 HITs that way while it was dropping, too. :/

lol. i submitted 350 yesterday with $15 projected daily. ******* sucked. tried to get 5k thinking those would last longer than they did

 

Im sure we all did good work. I stop doing them in the end cause I went "Im tired of houses." lol But the few 500 I did I did those ****ERS WELL MAN.

Lets hope this is a recurring person with more work though. BUt that was too massive.
