Kanna was here earlier. She pops in every couple days. Monica was here a few days ago. Bear pops in fairly often, too.
Oh, awesome! I really need to do something with mine. Same with the bergamot (bee balm). I've had it for several years and I haven't done anything with it, except to name a goat "Bergamot" (his twin sister is "Basil"). I planted a bunch of comfrey today. I used to have it where I used to live and a friend gave me a bunch of crowns so I could get it going here, too. It makes a great organic fertilizer "tea" for nitrogen-loving plants. I also used to make a tincture with it that worked great on burns and sunburns.
It's okay if you want to get the gist of what they're saying (sometimes), but it's definitely not word-for-word good.
Well, yeah. lol I also need the internet to be able to feed my animals. Without turking, I'd have some pretty hungry critters.
A. I was looking at the bee balm, too. Such pretty flowers, it makes! I wouldn't know what to do with it, though? B. I found a seller from Ojai, CA on Etsy that has a bunch of seeds I want and I was definitely eying comfrey. It been around for forever, has a bunch of medicinal uses, and I couldn't believe the stuff it does for the environment! Adding nitrogen to the soil, acting as a fertilizer, and the leaves are great mulch, I read. I'm about to get super into tinctures, so I will definitely make a note of that. Any others that you can recommend? (Goddamnit, something that involves a LOT of rosemary??!)

Bee balm is really pretty. Unfortunately, my chickens got into my bed and scratched it up pretty good, so it needs some serious rehabbing - which is on my list of "to-do's" for tomorrow. Comfrey seeds? I'm only familiar with the root division method. If these crowns I just planted recover (they look a little sad right now from the transplanting), and if I can figure out the best way to do it, maybe I could dig you up a couple of the smaller ones and send them to you. My friend gave me a lot (12 crowns, maybe?) - plus she has tons of comfrey and I can always get more.
And a well-fed animal can sometimes be an unfriendly animal - as I am learning with my house raccoon. Fat and well-fed, but she's getting aggressive with me for some reason and I'm probably looking at having to make a decision about her that I was hoping I wouldn't have to make.
Yeah, I found them here. If you can find a way to do it, I'd love to have them, but please don't trouble yourself!
Sorry to hear this. I really like raccoons and I feel like they have a bad reputation, but I guess it's justified :/
