I'll be honest-- I made $100 in my first 20 days on Turk. This month, I'm at $180 and am on track for about $220 for the month. Now, I've been busy this month but still, this is sub-minimum wage. I have 3100 approved hits (trying to hit 5k but it takes a bit), but I really just don't see it. I mean, the $300~ total between these last two months has been a real help, but obviously I want to do better. I just frankly don't see it. You guys talk about $20/hr and more and I'm frankly astounded. Just kinda asking for any advice.
My most helpful posts are my least thanked. It's like reddit, where if you go all twirdman, nobody reads it. If you post cat gifs, you get all the upvotes.

They have masters and hard to get quals and shit like that. It probably takes like a year of turking before you can make money like that.
Increasing your wage comes with experience, you've got a road ahead of you but if you stick with it you will see your earnings increase more and more. Getting your hit count up will help a bit and trying to work on things that aren't a waste of time for the money rewarded.
I was scratching my head when I talked about the lost of my $9,000 in savings. I only got a few comments about my story. This place is just one long Twilight Zone/Seinfeld episode.
A lot of it really boils down to: + Finding the things you are good at. + Learning to use all the scripts and tools out there + Practice + Get Quals + Grind + Right Place, Right Time. Asking questions and being patient helps too.
I think I thanked it, but I'm sure; but I remember reading that post, and I went through a somewhat similar situation when I was finishing college. Hustle hard and never give up. <3
As far as important real life stuff goes I'm often skimming for turking things and skip a lot. No offense to you or anyone else. I also feel awkward thanking stuff that is somewhat negative (losing savings, in this case) even though you should be getting thanks for sharing! Just feels weird to me.
If I may add, having a cushion helps a lot too. I remember when I didn't have one I wouldn't do risky work. Now I can afford some rejects if it means finding a lot of new requesters
Not an expert but this sounds like someone being immature and not realizing that you're no longer obligated to stay faithful to them. Taking a break from a relationship means exactly that you're no longer in a relationship.
Alright, my streak died yesterday buttttttttt, new one begins today! (not really because weekend is coming and we all know what that means) $50 day on deck! Good night everyone!
