When I can I use Express Scribe but you can't always download the audio. When you can it makes it easier because you can slow the speech down and use a foot pedal too.
I get up at 630 and start at 7am. I take a break at noon for 30 min (walk the dog and eat and stuff) and call it quits at 4pm. So 9 hours. Shes doing great! She is a lot more curious around the house than the first day (sitting in the corner shivering) she has grown attached to my girlfriend and is still pretty scared of me, but its probably because im 6'3'' 200lbs. When we leave her and my other dog play and walk around. She is doing so much better though Why the F do people think that? Somebody who took a leave an absence called me a master turker and I think everyone took it literally. No masters here.
The guy I work with has over 225,000 and no masters. I think he said he had a 99.5, also said his wife has 5200 and had a masters.
Does casting words do all of the good audio themselves and leave the crap for the MTurk community? . They almost have to. They hardly ever have good audio.
I use Express Scribe if it's one that you can download (a link to the mp3 file, for example). Otherwise I like CrowdSurf's interface and use it - you really do get used to the keyboard shortcuts. You might like exploring http://transcriptress.com/ - she talks a lot about specifically transcribing and mTurk. I can't find the specific article I used to have bookmarked, but I'll look around.
Sorry I don't mean to hijack your question here. But what do you average an hour? How do you find better hits? Do you have any tips to a newbie? I only average like 13 a day. But I also do only have like 332 pending with like 90 approved.

I've never run into media you couldn't download in Firefox. Go to tools>page info>media and if there is an embedded mp3 on the page you can download it. I also love Express Scribe but I need to break down a get a foot pedal.
It's okay, the motto "It's not worth getting worked up over if it's not worth killing over" has served me well. The last guy who was worth it got deported to Venezuela not too long after our last altercation. He's stuck there for a very long time last I checked.

ok well today was one of my best days for the past 2 weeks cuz I've been bein super lazy. Hopefully I can get my act together the rest of the week. I'm clockin out for the evening. The baby will have me up in a couple hours so I need to try and squeeze in some sleep at least. Night all.
