i heard good things about that one, but this is the one i went to http://www.animenext.org/ it was rlly good, btw all this con talk got me so hyped for my nerd block next month ^_^
I'm in NJ about an 45 minutes to an hour drive into the city. If I was going to the convention I'd prob just take the train up or park in Jersey City and take the path over, that's what I usually do. I'll have to check out what else is available around here though. I never seriously looked because no one ever wanted to go with me.
To be honest, theyre only worth 2 cents. They take 10 seconds to do. The average rate everyone wants is 10 cents a minute. I agree the pay is lower but everyone's dumb
im like 2 hours from da BIG CITY so ill go wif u senpai if u want! we'll get bubbletea and take all da qt's out for breadsticks =D
I want to do NYCC but think I want to go to PAX East more. Even though they're pretty much on opposite ends of the year.
I can vouch for PAX in general. Been to PAX prime for 3 years (Couldn't go this year which is happening this weekend) and every time I was amazed at all the stuff. Definitely my money's worth. PAX and Sakuracon are my two cons.. I might have to promote at more cons though when I get the game working and all that.
pls tell me u went to this one lol xD
I gotta bookmark those for next year. Asbury Park's close enough that I could pop in even if my friends don't want to go. Surprised they're holding an event there I didn't think anybody went to Asbury Park anymore.
Yeah I heard PAX East was good. Just gotta get someone to drag to Boston with me for the weekend, lol.
Don't be afraid to go by yourself. I usually volunteer when I go (to any of them), since that gets me in for free, and gives me a reason to talk to other people. (Plus, I hate having to babysit my less geeky friends, or skip panels because the hivemind can't agree on one.) If you want to cosplay or something, there are so many people in that area who can help you out - plus, that's another great way to meet people who are in to what you're in to. Wizard World is in Philly every year, which isn't a bad day trip from north Jersey, and it's just been getting bigger and better every year. There's also PAX East, in Boston, which is less focused (it's not just comics), but also a lot of fun. (So I've heard, I've never made it to either PAX.) Keep an eye on something like ConventionScene.com, or UpcomingCon, or some such, if you want to be on the lookout for stuff near you.
Am I the only one who can't stand Lisa lampenlani (or however the f*ck you spell her name) unless she's on a roast?

kool, nice to have someone from my neck of the woods. Was starting to think everyone on the forums was from Iowa.
You're probably the only one that can stand her when she's on a roast even. She has potential but it's just so low class. Very New Jersey.
