He dumped the mother of his children for someone less than half his age, so I really don't have it in me to feel sorry for the little shit, even if it does turn out she's lying about the abuse.
I understand that, and if the police hadn't been there and said there was no evidence of a crime, I would probably feel differently. But the police said that they were there and no crime was committed and I did find an article that says that even if she didn't want to press charges, they would have still investigated if there were evidence of a crime. With a bruise like that, one would think that she would have had some sort of marks when they arrived. I just don't know what to think, but it will be interesting to see how it plays out.
Yeah it's not like there's millions of dollars at stake or anything There is no "pressing charges." If the police find evidence of a crime, it will be prosecuted.
She'll get the same share of the marital property whether he beat her or not. So I don't see that there is money at stake.
isn't that how it should be though? when you're accusing someone of committing a crime the burden of proof should be on you not them
I wasn't sure what the laws were there, but according to the article this is correct. Where I live, it doesn't matter what the victim wants. If someone was hit, someone is going to jail. If the victim doesn't want to press charges, the state does it anyway. If the victim doesn't show up for court, it still proceeds. Period.
I find it amazing how dirty a computer mouse can get overtime. Remember when we had to clean the ball inside the mouse and the wheels.
I've played some Canndy Crush. Word games and logic puzzles are my favorite. However, way behind the curve, I admit that I am currently obsessed with Plants vs. Zombies. I only discovered it a couple weeks ago. Mturk was non-functional for a few days due to requester website maintenance or some such nonsense. Other than that it's slow some days and not on others. Not much change there.
I am way behind on all this and didn't realize his mother just died. As close as he was to his mother I can see a meltdown and I have to wonder what she did to push his buttons if this is true. And I can see getting a bigger settlement when abuse is brought into the mix. If there was a pre-nup abuse might get around some of it.
I agree with this, I also believe the alcohol and drug problems Amber reported. He has had that alcoholic look the entire time he's been with her. I figured it was to cover up the guilt of what he did to Vanessa. Who is still ride or die, defending him as well. If she would have came out with the abuse claims BEFORE asking for money and getting declined, I don't think people would be so against her. She needs to fire her publicist and her lawyer and get a dream team.
Not only that, but their marriage problems began when he moved his mother in with them, since she was ill.
It will depend on what the laws are where they are living. In Virginia, abuse would not have an impact on any of it. But in SC, the only things that are taken into consideration when splitting property are abuse, drug/alcohol abuse, gambling, adultery and if there are children and who is keeping them. Drug and alcohol abuse wouldn't surprise me at this point. I am starting to think that sober people are in the minority.
