Do not do HITS for l2w, he has hard blocked me and according to Turkopticon every single worker that has done a HIT for him. We all got emails from MT saying we were blocked and our acct could be suspended if we got more blocks. There was no reason we should have been hard blocked and he has not replied to anyone about why this has happened.

So we had another mass block e-mail sent out by the Amazon automated system I see.. before everyone starts freaking out (too late :p) please look at this post and thread.

    http://mturkforum.com/showthread.php?8162-Blocked-by-L2W&p=403461&viewfull=1#post403461

Amazon has in the past admitted to sending out account warning/hard block e-mails by mistake. Maybe this latest round is also a false alarm. I assume the requester intended to issue blocks to prevent workers from providing duplicate data.

If you got one of the nasty account warning e-mails contact Amazon until they admit they made a mistake or until they tell you the block is truly a 'hard' block. If you get some generic response saying they don't get involved in worker/requester disputes keep e-mailing them, since the e-mail was sent out by their system! All these misunderstandings arise from their block feature. There isn't some special button requesters select to distinguish between the two types. All blocks are issued the same way and it is up to Amazon to determine when and if a block is "hard", triggering the nasty e-mail. If the requester did make a note that workers were submitting bad work or trying to scam them, then I can see how/why Amazon would count it as a hard block.

Hope this helps out some of those that got a block e-mail from Amazon for this requester's HITs.
