I'm personally amused by the idea of a Really Dedicated Terrorist working for 50 cents an hour doing crowdflower/dolores HITs. I have a strange sense of humor, though.
UNFUCKINGREAL. Another goddamn scammer. Listen, kid. If you're 18, why don't you have your own ID? And why aren't you working in your own name? Something doesn't add up. Fun fact: If you have to lie about something, you shouldn't be doing it. Period.
Oh, I don't think he's a scammer. How much do you know about what it's like in India? Coz me? I know very little. I don't see any malicious flags here, tho.
Yes, really an enlightening post - who would have thought about this angle with mturk - who knows there are group who may already be doing it.....LOL -- get legal money without any fuss.
i donno why u guys talkin like dis. i don have my ID coz im just turned out to be 18 and i didnt create my pan card or voter ID yet.so... but i have aadarsh ID..if u people don believe me i can show u guys.
Don't worry. Most of us here don't think you're a scammer. But really, the most simple solution is to just go get your ID, if you can.
scam (skam) Slang n. A fraudulent business scheme; a swindle. Anyone who conducts business in a fraudulent way is a scammer. Malicious intent or not, it screws everyone else in the end. xox
ok fine.but using my own fathers name...how could it be illegal?coz i can make my dad to sit in d PC and change d name..LOL
He's not looking to "swindle" according to anything we've read. I think you're being a little trigger happy with the "scammer" accusation here.
Look. He's a kid. He's not really thinking like a grownup. That doesn't make him an unethical scammer, is all I'm saying.
Then he doesn't need to be working here. I'm sure they have McJobs he can fake his way through in India, don't they? I got my own kids to worry about, and people like this are fucking with the food I put on the table.
Mturk is generally worse than a McJob. And this kid is harming NOBODY. Your righteous indignation is misplaced, I think.
Be mad at Amazon for not giving us really basic worker rights. Be mad at Crowdflower for singing the virtues of paying people 75 cents an hour from the rooftops. Be mad at a lot of people besides this harmless kid.
This kid personally, no. People like him, that came before him, yes. People that were told "It's just fine to work in someone else's name!" Don't you wonder why Amazon is suddenly so cautious about new accounts? Because people like this come in, click through as much as possible until they get banned, and then start over with a new name. This also makes good requesters run for their lives. They get a bunch of bullshit data from people who aren't who they say they are. Again, if this was a real-life job, this KID would be laughed out of the building and/or arrested for using a fake ID.
What makes you assume he had an ID and got banned? That's the big discrepancy between your assumptions and mine. Do you see "India" and think "scammer"?
