Unfortunately because there is so many scams out there, especially pyramid scams, people assume everything is a scam. Which is good for us cause it means more HITs for us to do. I've had friends on facebook cry about how they lost their job and they don't have any way to get a new job and they would rather collect welfare than work on mturk. They think it's too hard. Um, sitting on your ass in the comfort of your own home is too hard? No wonder you lost your job!!
I agree My brother in law has a job that he works one day a week at if he's lucky and he still won't do this, but complains about being broke all the time. I just shake my head and call him a moron after we leave.
My family doesn't take what I do seriously...They just keep asking me when I'm going to get "a real job". They don't understand that I do have a real job doing HITs and freelance computer work...Apparently it doesn't count if you don't have a boss or leave the house.
