The policy of the candidates is irrelevant as most of what they do is filtered by congress, anyway. Same reasoning for why I voted for Obama in 2008, and the first thing HE did was ban kreteks. Not the change I voted for, buddy. (Surprise surprise, big tobacco was one of Obama's big donors.)
You've got to see Room. I watched it last night and it is an emotional one but it's good and very well acted. I liked that they didn't make it all rainbows and unicorns at the end. It seems more real and believable. I'm listening to the audio book now. I didn't know it was based off a book before watching.
I read the book a few years ago. It was so good I clearly remember passages of it, but I just can't see the movie. I think it would be too traumatic to see it on the big screen.
Both Brie Larson and the little kid (who I think won the Golden Globe but didn't get nominated for the Oscar) were really great. Not a perfect movie, but it really resonated with me.

I'm glad Mad Max is winning some awards, it definitely deserves these especially (Costume Design, Set Design, Makeup and Hair styling).
