"$0.08 hits pending .... Were easy to do and went quickly ... 60 seconds each." PAY: 5/5 Sometimes* I wish turkopticon was something I could set on fire. *Most of the time
I think my uses of TO have reduced to: - the fairness score (although people can even manage to screw that up. somehow. still have to peek at the actual reviews) - looking for time estimates on surveys - I guess a bad pay score with a decent number of reviews is revealing. A good pay score means nothing.
2 - 3 minutes Title: Product Manager Requester: Cocosci Lab at UC Berkeley [AHG3DFQ65ESGY] (TO) TO Ratings: ☢☢☢☢☢ 4.49 Communicativity ☢☢☢☢☢ 4.04 Generosity ☢☢☢☢☢ 4.74 Fairness ☢☢☢☢☢ 4.66 Promptness Number of Reviews: 120 (Submit a new TO rating for this requester) Description: You will play a game called "Product Manager" in which you decide whether your company should market its current product or invest into research and development. I think TO needs to be made more idiot-proof. Do away with the ratings altogether. Ask direct questions. How much did it pay? How long did it take you? Were you rejected? How many days did it take to approve? Did you contact the requester? - If so, did he respond? Was he helpful? Comments. But people would still manage to screw it up.
Any chance anyone has a way to contact that requester who posted the $5 masters hit about writing the descriptions of actions? Damn thing expired just as I clicked back to put in the code. Don't even know the requester's name.
Never mind. I see that everyone else finished it in record time. Guess I'm just slow. Probably should go to bed now. Tomorrow is another day. Damn, I am tired. email address is right there on the last page. Thanks anyway! And good night.
Its cute to see some of you new guys complaining about TO, but here is a breakdown: Didnt get paid in 7 days or less: 1's across the board Got paid at least 5 cents a minute: 5's across the board Got rejected, but later reversed: 1's across the board and possibly contacted IRB The moral: TO sucks for the most part. Its simply a guide that you need to interpret. If you are simply looking at the numbers then you are doing it wrong. Everybody's TO is great until it isnt.
The most baffling part of TO is the people who seem to spend all day looking for reviews to comment on and flag. For that matter, the ones who seem to review every HIT they do. They apparently do not need actual money from turking. I've reviewed the odd HIT, but only if it's slow and there was something exceptional about it. (Which generally means it was exceptionally bad.)
I only bother to leave TO if I get a hard block or mass rejection, so I can send out a warning. If I find a really great batch, then I'm sure as hell not going to TO and telling everybody else how great it is. Because I'm a selfish jerk.
There are people that review every hit that they do and they do it because they use it to keep track of the hits that they do.
I once put vanilla ice cream in my root beer and it was amazing. I should patent it before anyone else steals my idea. I'll be rich.
