People just on this forum alone make anywhere from a penny a year to a thousand a day and everything in between. I think the average for most is second job, 2-4hrs a day, $20-30 bucks. But it really really varies.

It can be lonely. This is true. But some communication is better than no communication at all. Sometimes it can be a placeholder for the real thing, at least temporarily.
