Exactly, all that fast paced submitting for just $4.18. Pay rate on those is nothing special at all, I just can't for the life of me understand why everyone gets so amped about them.
Numbers. I'm trying to get to 5000 asap and these hits help A LOT more than any other one I've come across. I'm sure if you're already past that, they really aren't a big deal.
Because with them, it's not about the pay. It's a quick way to get your numbers up to qualify for better HITs, or to offset douchebag rejections.
actually, if you're really fast about it, you can get a pretty good pay rate if they post enough. last week there was a batch that went for a little over an hour and i think i managed around 900, which isn't bad, especially for mturk...
They help boost up your Total approved HITs, which lead to higher paying HITs once you cross the 1000, 5000 or more HIT marks.
Getting your "numbers up" is overrated, and certainly not worth doing low paying hits just for the sake of getting more submits in. 1000 comes quickly enough without focusing on numbers, not worth working at a low rate just to get to that level. As far as 5000 and 10000, there are very, very few decent hits that require those levels.
Not to burst anyone's bubble, but getting to 5000 makes very little difference. There isn't this goldmine of great hits that opens up at that level, in fact I would say 1000 is the only level that makes a true difference, and that comes fast enough by just doing GOOD paying hits.

I love Set masters! They are helping me up my numbers. I too am trying to get to 5000! Plus, easy $1-$2 if you can get 100/200 of them in. Mindless! I'll take easy money.
behavioral lab gets on my nerves sometimes. "don't do this hit if you did one with a similar name" i can barely remember the ones with the same name let alone similar ones. at least give a date
