yeah, i think it might have been much more about some rather vocal complainers than due to an actual problem. because the images are just links to off-site files, we don't actually use any of the forum's bandwidth for them. that's why some sites prevent image leeching, because it uses their bandwidth.
Still super pissed I got the error message on those Movie Enquirer HITs. I was basically finished and it was an easy $7.
It wasn't about one particular day, it was in general. Quite a few people weren't fans of having meme after meme posted in the thread. I was under the impression that Andy had disabled images and honestly, I've kinda liked it this way.

The people who were complaining about pictures are the same ones who were complaining about the small talk in here and saying we all should only post hits for them and go somewhere else to talk about other things. Apparently, skimming through a post to find hits is too complicated for some people.

Well it wasn't a bandwidth issue - that is for sure. I'll see what I can do - but ultimately it is Andy's call... As long as there are no pervy pictures or too many off topic images and videos clogging the thread it should be okay... The stuff that happens when I'm not around - sheesh! This. The night that Andy disabled them there were a very few who were (IMO) disproportionately upset about them. I don't think they were an actual problem-it was just the easiest way for Andy to diffuse the bickering.
