Maybe for now. On Monday when there are more people around maybe some people will be OK with doing the hits and you can get two friends quickly.
The butts are actually from a bad porno movie where 2 girls had to do some stuff for some guy in a club. It just goes really well with the Jurassic Park scene.
If you are interested in trying transcription a quiet time like this would be a good time to start looking at their quals. Most of them have style guides that you need to study before you take the qual test. Or if they autogrant the qual before you do your first hit for them. I've only done one short transcription hit so I can't give advice about the requester beyond look at their TO. CastingWords is a transcription requester, so is SpeechInk. The best quals to have are the ones that are in active use. If you look at a page of hits you'll see just above the list "show all details." If you click there the hits expand and you can see the quals for all the hits on that page. Then you can figure out which quals you can try to get immediately.
I am 19 cents away from my daily goal. Not sure if I want to keep searching or just call it for the night. Nineteen cents...just one more HIT and it's done.
Wow, CrowdFlower is starting to put the search engine HITs they nabbed from my Ormiston boys up for $.20 instead of $.25. Figures. $.30-.25 is just too decent for them, heaven forbid they come across as nice human beings. *grumblegrumble*
I think if you have a gmail then you have one. Andy said it doesn't have to be something you even use regularly. So you could just sign up for one.
Redwood: Basic Caption Requirements Review - HITs Available: 4703 To ensure quality, we cannot have a single worker touch any piece of data more than once. How can they ever get them all done? Seems ridiculous.
Especially because sometimes I can't have touched that piece of data before. They don't let me do many of their hits.
