Seriously ... you can even back cake in the microwave lol ... I have never done it .. the only thing I have done in the microwave are omelets scrambled eggs and bacon ... somehow I can make the bacon SUPER CRISPY in the microwave ... Oh and "baked" potatoes.... other than that .. its just there to heat up baby food lol ... but yeah .. google it ... there are tons of recipes.. you dont need subway.
I do most of the cooking at my house. When my wife and I got together she owned a cookbook and the title was, I kid you not, Microwave Recipes Made Easier. Are microwave recipes so hard that they need to be made easier? I don't mind cooking though. I've been trying to perfect a recipe for Popeye's chicken for years with no luck though.

Get yourself a crock pot... dump a bunch of ingredients into it and turn it on. A few hours later you have super tasty stews, soups... it can even make meatloaf and bread... but beans and stews and stuff are beyond easy. I make beans and corn bread a couple times a month... all it takes is buy a bag of dried pinto beans costs less than a buck. rinse them and let them soak in water overnight. then you put them in the crockpot with enough water to cover them by about an inch and turn it on. If you wanna spice it up you can toss a ham hock in there or bacon, or even pork jowls and just let it cook. Cornbread is easy too... jiffy cornbread isn't the best on earth but all you do is add water and throw it in a pan... then take it out when the timer is up. Pretty hard to screw up crock pot meals...

Me & My fiancee move a lot and that means we also hotel hop. We were staying in a hotel for a good 3 months and only had a microwave to keep us feed. Short answer? Yes, cooking rice in the microwave is possible. Long answer? It's a pain in the ass. First you need to get a microwavable container that can hold the amount of water to rice that you want (2 cups water for every cup of rice) and then you want to heat up the water inside by microwaving it for about 3 minutes on high. Add your rice and heat again--with a paper towel on top--for five minutes. Take the rice out and put a new paper towel on top and let it sit for about 10 minutes. You should have pretty edible rice. It's not perfect what-so-ever and if you have a coffee brewer I would suggest boiling the water that way. I cook everything; she doesn't cook.
In reguards to a crockpot.. I use mine for breakfast every morning... Steel Cut Outs, Milk, Water, Raisins, Apples and Cinnamon in a crock pot before bed... I wake up to the most amazing smelling house and a nice warm Oatmeal breakfast

Ive done that lots of times too. It also makes stupid good hot chocolate if you are willing to take the time. Seriously... crock pots are awesome and super easy to use. Buy a roast, throw some vegetables in with it and forget about it for a few hours.
