Catherine is great to talk to. She reply's fast to emails. Beyond that, I've noticed that each time she puts a new hit out, she will tweek the instructions a bit. I have to agree with the other posters, when in doubt, leave a comment in the box! I really get the impression that its a learning experience for all!
Typically not for surveys. It messes up their data. Some might have two parts, and some might get reposted. Generally speaking though, it is not safe to do the same survey twice.
Andy K approved all 1700 of my HITs I did. I love this guy. Do beware some of the sites have malware and someone here got a trojen. Make sure your anti virus is up to date.
I've not done these HITs... But please send her here! Anytime we have direct communication with a requester it is helpful... We can set up her own thread as we have for others and then talk directly about any issues. Just an idea.
When did you originally do the hits? I like these, they go fast, and some of the site are actually pretty cool (which, as I said earlier is just slowing me down).
Rob, you da man! I actually just set up a thread for her about her category hits. I figured it would be easier to keep up with if it had their own thread! She really is awesome, and I have invited her here. I told her how wonderful we all are and how we LOVE talking to requesters!
I read the qualifications for a survey and decided I met the qualifications. Once I opened it, it said there were two parts and they'd need my email info for the 2nd part. My first question is is this a common occurance? I read somewhere that no one would ever ask for personal info and my email is considered personal info in my eyes. Also, they had me answer a few questions, then they decided I wasnt qualified to continue to the second part of the survey. I'd like to know if that job will show up as rejected or returned even though I completed it to the best of my ability?
It really depends on the requester for this stuff, have you downloaded the Turkopticon yet? If they have good rating then I would say go for it, I have had requester email me when they post hits, and it works well. HOWEVER, if it is a spammer then obviously you want to avoid it.
I just dont wanna get rejected. I'm actually gonna take a risk. Hopefully it doesn't come back to bite me.
works pretty well for me. The hardest part is getting the requester IDs. EDIT: Use this site to get the requester IDs: http://mturk-tracker.com/general/
