I waited until I got paid and then wrote my review. (Because, I didn't want to rate them without giving them a chance or forget to change my rating) The ratings at the bottom are ratings that were made without giving the requester a chance to respond or approve the HIT. Hopefully, they remember to change their ratings.

Some have changed already! I'm five weeks new at this, so on days as slow as today I study TO. Eventually, it will pay for itself by making me more savvy.

I know that the averages on TO can aren't much of a guide, but in the text, some reviewers give me information I can chew on. If somebody has a justifiable flag for TOS violation, I won't work for them. On the other hand, some Requesters start out horribly and get better. (ProductRnR seems to be one of those Requesters who made a sharp turn).

  9. But their TO still stinks lol Its like the people dont care or the TO is that horrible from long time ago.

I always rate my experience with those that have very little or no TO. As for those that are established with lots of ratings, I only rate them if need be. (ex. problems resolved or unresolved, exceptional experiences, etc.)

    Silly me.

I did an entire survey and the last screen told me the survey was closed. WTF?!

This is the hit btw. It's one of those where they want you to submit the hit before even doing the survey.

Title: Take a short 7-8 min survey on various behaviors including writing, language, and behavior.
    Requester: Esta Denton [A2LUMRKUUQ0I3V] [TO]
Description: Please provide answers to the following questions concerning language use and behavior in imaginary scenarios.
    Reward: $0.50
    Timer: 30 minutes
    HITs Available: 1
Qualifications: Total approved HITs is greater than 0, HIT approval rate (%) is greater than 95, Location is US

ProductRnR p*ssed off a lot of people. Seems they used to be trigger-happy about rejections, and it made so many people so aggregatedly angry only now is the TO climbing out of red.

It's not until 2013 that they seem to have adopted their current sensible policy. (Not clear whether some of those reviews are about blocks, or people losing qual). I should say something nice about them, but I've only tasted about 4-5 kinds of HITs, and they seem to have zillions.

zomgturtles is continuing my education! For her, it's "one of those where they want you to submit the hit before even doing the survey," which makes it a WTF thing for me before I even see it.

I can pull it up to preview; it's not like a fake-availability or anything. I can't say it's the stupidest thing I ever heard of, but I can't think of any reason for such a HIT structure to work, either. I can think of three or four things broken about the entire idea, only because I'm not a creative type. (There is more wrong than I can think about right now).

    (scratches head)

Okay, I'll bite. (pulls up survey, gets asked for MTurk ID)

It lets people in without any safeguards, apparently. Then it nails people after they do the whole thing.

I am embarrassed. I used to attend that school, sort of kind of.

There must be a better way. But I go look at the thing I submitted ('HITs You Worked' for that day), and call up their TO. Then I go to their TO, and it's indexed by Requester ID.

If you're running HIT database, you can call it up on "Requester Overview" (from Dashboard panel) but I sometimes find that they get lost in the shuffle.

there is no TO for this requester so I wanted to start one but I have no clue on how to get it besides emailing. Just seems like there should be an easier way I'm not seeing

If you use Turkopticon script: Pull it up on your "HITs completed" detail (the one that says whether the individual HIT has been approved yet).

You'll see a little blue button by their name, a drop-down thing. Open up a mini-window, and it will let you click a link to start the review.

    Does this make sense?

Kinda drunk but have 40 more full-text review minutes to complete before 2 am EST if I want that dank bonus from CS. Anyway someone confused Coco Puffs with Coco Pebbles. Unacceptable!

Tribune, I've done hits by that requester before and they all paid so i guess that part is safe enough. They always say to submit the hit before doing the survey. Ummm **** no. I always accept, do the survey and submit. I see no reason to do it that way well besides maybe the requester is afraid that it will expire on you before you finish the survey.

    Oh. The requester responded:
