That thing took forever. I wonder what they use to judge getting the extra 2.50. Has anyone gotten paid for this already? When they started doing the letters my eyes went crazy so I am afraid that if they use that to judge for the extra 2.50 I'm out. Maybe we will all get luck and they will just give the extra 2.50 to everyone.
yeah, i got paid yesterday, the same day i did it, the bonus came through for me today, leelu got it too i think... they said the bonus was just based on the consistency of your answers, so they probably have to run it through some algorithm they've devised...
hahah!! i had planned to keep trying to solve those captchas until i won the 10 bucks but was done like 2 minutes later, i was like "oh these wont be hard, we solve captchas all the time on mturk"
I would be interested in that too. I started doing the slice the pie music rating, but I didn't earn much so I figured that would just be a playing around one.
It is what it is. Look at the date everyone in this thread joined the forum and tell me I'm wrong. Everyone's new. Turking is a lot like driving a cab, there's an extremely high turnover rate because the pay is low. I'm a matter of fact kind of person. I'm just stating what I've seen.
If you cannot find the information on your own, do you think you would be qualified. https://www.leapforceathome.com
thanks, will definitely give it a shot. i wouldn't have known about mturk if it wasn't for a friend sending me an email with links to mturk, forums, subreddits, etc. one of the main reasons i failed as a freelancer was due to my inability to find the right opportunities but when they're shoved in my face i do okay...
Wow. So rude. I actually did find information on my own, thank you, but I was hoping to find a more detailed introduction to it that you might not be able to find by simply Googling.
it was pretty awful. when it got to the part where you have to respond to letters you saw three letters ago, i wanted to barf all over my computer.
The main Google Rater companies are Appen Butler Hill, Lionbridge and Leapforce. They all pay about the same and only require that you complete a test to become a rater. You have to be a VERY logic driven person to succeed as a Google Rater. The turnover rate is higher for Google Raters than anything I've ever seen, not because people quit, but because they get their contracts discontinued for not meeting Google's requirements. Also 99% of people fail the test and don't qualify to begin with. Luckily that means that anyone that is fairly intelligent can go pass the test and start earning decent money.
do you do this? i just filled out the application for lionbridge. was going to check out leapforce and butler hill next.
well that doesnt mean that's how it's going to happen for us. come back in a few months and i guarantee you will still see my butt on here lol and im not saying you're not a kind person. you just could have not been so discouraging with that.
