There is no reason to. I got my information out of this forum. I have no reason to return now other than to lurk for the HITs. If you could tell from me talking earlier, I was ecstatic to find this community. Now, I am happy I wont feel obligated to come back and post anything. Andy, you've got one hell of a mod staff.
It's the middle of the night. Friday night midnight to 3:00 am (depending on location) is not a typical time for most groups of people, including this one.
The chat has nothing to do with the forum. It's kind of weird asking people on this forum why so many bs posts when your 5 posts have been nothing but that. Next time you have a concern about someone you can personally pm them and leave the forum alone. and btw welcome to the forum
Before I move on, I want it to be known that I dont truely think everyone on this forum is a jerk or *******. Obviously Robin, you are not part of the online bully cancer. But to be treated like this within a matter of MINUTES of joining the forums, its ridiculous.
Well, I posted it to here because this thread obviously has no structure. Its "free game" as they say. It further proves my point. Within 5 minutes of being on the forums, a Computer Science major with a minor in Web Design tells you the forums need better structure and things need to be split. Um...does that NOT throw up a red flag?
Just imagine what I'm going to do to that stupid drama llama when I catch up to it... To you new poster JohnVicious... whatever happened in tinychat... that's an external site. I don't want to hear about it here, mind taking it to a private conversation area? Like email, or private messages... or carrier pigeon... or smoke signals... or morse code even... sent a note to the moderators and complain about it, whatever you feel like you need to do to validate your feels. If you don't want to contribute, I'm fine with that... we've got a lot of those people... but nobody is going to shed any tears about you joining and threatening to lurk from now on... so get a grip. Stay and be a productive member.... stay and be a lurker... stay and cry in your beer even, I don't care... just do it appropriately... and appropriate isn't bringing outside drama into the working thread.

I don't have an issue. And I didn't ***** and moan. I had asked a question. Plan and simple. A mechanic walks up to your car and tells you something looks wrong under the hood. Are you NOT going to listen to what he has to say? And it should be a red flag that I am bitching within my first 12 posts. I make an account, join some regs in a tinychat(i know its not part of the forusm, that is beside the point. It was full of regs from this forum), and immediately start using my account to complain rather than to help. This should be a HUGE RED FLAG to any mod.
It works the way it is... just fine. One suggestion would be to add a radio button to the reply form that spits a post out to an rss feed or otherwise... so that when people post a hit, if they feel like it... they can pump it straight to a feed for all those that just want to be given golden tickets without participating. But we don't need that either... this forum shouldn't be about feeding hits out like a ticker tape... it should be an educational platform and a socialization platform... which is exactly what it is... hits being posted are just a bonus beyond that. People have a method of searching and sorting posts... it's called mturk.com...
I may look at getting something like that developed, but of course I would have to make sure that it does not ruin the thin balance that we have right now between contributor vs lurker. Interesting ideas.
