I just read on facebook that some people are still running with the "911 conspiracy" crap. One acquaintance posted this as his status this morning: "9/11 was an inside job. I'm not celebrating a day that the American government decided to sacrifice our own to fuel America's "war on terrorism" n to justify going to war in Afghanistan. Instead of mourning the victims we should fight the man. Mourn in blindness if you want too, but I will not post anything that shows remorse for something that our Government fueled." I hate these people. So disrespectful. The same goes to the ones who claim all the school shootings are fake, etc... People died. Stop trying to turn it into something it's not and just respect those who are gone.
Script idea... Let me know if it's already been done and where I can find it... Something on your dashboard that shows up when you have a HIT assigned to you. I'm always refreshing my dashboard and if I have a few accepted I once in a while forget to do one before it expires. Something bright red saying "2 HITs assigned to you" would be very helpful. I agree that what they posted definitely crossed a line, and a day like today is no time to be questioning certain things. Still, not looking at everything we go through these days with a grain of salt is moving backwards. We should look at everything with multiple perspectives, including ones that we don't want to believe could be the case. Personally, I think South Park covered it best - Do we want to believe that the government could have done something like this to its own people, or that the government was stupid enough to allow it to happen?
This is EXACTLY why, AS A SURVIVOR I am not on FB today, I posted to my friends that I took the day off of today from FB because there are 364 days of the year to talk about conspiracy and in my opinion, today is about the lives lost and about those of us who are still alive and can live to tell the stories of sweet humanity that people did for each other that day.
