we get paid by the second sometimes... literally. I like to come to the forum a few times throughout the day to take a microbreak... but every second I spend doing that is a few hits not getting done. Not trying to sound like a big city talker... but that's how it is. We don't have anyone paying us per hour just for being present. I'm also more prone to use my microbreaks to toss the frisbee with the dog for 5 min or some such... get up and move around, do some quick tai chi movements... that sort of thing.

There were posts up about it earlier this evening. The best way to get accurate information would probably be to search this thread for "Heather." If I remember correctly (and I didn't get invited to do the second part so I might not) the purpose of the one cent hit was to let her give a qual that she can use when she reposts the hit so those people are the only ones who can do it. Someone said Heather had to send out 600 emails and she got bogged down.
I guess I should just get used to the fact that Cat. Masters HITs are all going to start paying a penny now. Everyone else seems to approve of the pay cut. Oh well, double that was good while it lasted.
That's one of the problems with TOTW. They have always been limited to people who had 5000 approved hits. They introduced the quals recently but I think they still require 5000 approved in order to do the hits to get the quals.

That's only when we win. Every day is a constant battle against requesters who would like us to get less out of it than we put in.
Are there actual qual HITS? I sort of thought that anyone who didn't get to do their HITs a couple months ago before the quals were introduced were just getting hung out to dry.
