We use OCR at work for some materials, it's ok if it's a decent copy. We have people scan documents in the field and we OCR them. What always screws it up is the ones who can't scan correctly and the document is at some odd angle and the OCR doesn't like that. Some of the food items I've seen, if you need to make the package larger just to fit the ingredients, I'm not eating that crap.
Why? Different people have different goals for the work they do on MTurk. For me, it's to make $20 a day during the week, as that's about what I'd make if I had a second part-time job. He said that he turks anywhere from 8-14 hours... many people have other commitments that prevent them from devoting that much time to this, and you shouldn't let the fact that you have different priorities and goals deter you.

Juelz has been my favorite artist since I first heard "Hey Ma" and the "Back Like Cooked Crack Vol. 1" mixtape. Most underrated artist in the game if you ask me. Everyone I know that listens to rap doesn't mess with Santana. Same thing with Joe Budden (before Slaughterhouse was signed) I play them a track by Juelz off Back Like Cooked Crack or Joeys Mood Muzik mixtapes, and they lose their friggin minds. They're like "this just came out?" I respond "No...it's been out for years man." Mindblown. I love introducing music to people. I tend to be the only one listening to artists before they blow up. I did it with The Weeknd, J. Cole, Drake, and even bands like Hawthorne Heights. I got ahold of a sampler/demo cd of Hawthorne Heights before they released their first album and fell in love with it. I typically hate music with any screaming in it, but Casey Calvert was a God. (RIP) If you haven't heard it, listen to "Niki FM". I usually disliked music in that genre, and stuck with Rap or R&B. Woke up to a reject from netMSI for "incorrect actor count". My only reject from them is when whatever mouth breathing, window licking tard reviews my work and doesn't know how to count. If a guy fingered her for 1 whole scene then it counts under your own rules as "people doing sexual activity". I'm thinking of just blacklisting them entirely, their score as dropped almost a point and a half on turk opticon in the last month from the random naming rejects. The bastard in me wants to TO bomb them to make an example out of them.
The same for me. My goal is 15.00. If I make it, great. If not, no biggie. My FT gig pays more than I'll ever make turking and all I have to do is to show up to make it. Hammering on a keyboard for 12 hours to make 100.00, meh. I'd burnout and the wife and kid would leave me. I did a solid 6 hours of turking once, by the time that was over I was going mental.
