Using the "selector" got rid of most false alarms for me, but I finally had to ditch PM because of the page refresh errors and too many searches being monitored. I use a personal script for Chrome, now, so I can monitor 300 searches every second but it has other problems. Worth it for me, though.

The best solution I have found for FF is C4C. I was using Auto Refresh Plus on Chrome so I could ditch FF altogether for a while but it dragged my system down too much.

how are you getting 300 searches a second? I get nailed with the "you have exceeded" screen when i refresh to much.

This is it but I have never used it:

It is a script that sits on the most recent added search page and compares them to a list so it does no actual queries to trigger the problem. I have not had a page refresh error in over a week, and the last one was turning on too many AMT options while refreshing. Some scripts I had to disable the search page to run also so it is fiddley to work with.
