I never knew there were so many underpaid masters work. For instance, there's a movie categorizing batch that sounds awesome. The work isn't that bad, but its only .03 a hit which is why it's not moving at all. They want you to search for a movie on walmart by its item number, and then type in the name of the movie, and pick two categories that it belongs in. Pretty easy, for .5 or .10. I'm doing better with the .01 eyeapps batch than I am with the movie batch. That's just an example, there are several master batches up right now that are paying pennies for a job that regular hits pay 5-20 cents for.
*shrug* It stands to reason. Requesters who pay more to Amazon for the privilege of posting master's HITs might have fewer pennies to throw around for the HITs themselves, so there's no reason to think they'd pay *more* than regular requesters. On the other hand you get to do a bunch of HITs that most people can't do. I can't wait til the day I can tell teh whole mturk to go **** off and die
of course there are. Then again there also come along ridiculously overpaying HITs. Just have to learn to separate the wheat from the chaff.
You might not realize (but perhaps you do) but in the requester interface, it does not make it apparent you are using Masters. The only warning you get is if you go in and remove the Masters requirement. Thus, anyone new to Mturk might not realize it but there HITs are masters by default.
