Big City (More than 10 million populations) Middle to Small City (5 million to 10 million populations) Rural Area (Less than 5 million populations) Wow.... so NYC is a medium or small city...and LA is a rural area
I saw a dot at the end so I thought it was a sentence, but it's entirely possible it was a code ending in period, the next person should google translate it before submitting
Do you think meeting your goals and then pretty much shutting it out is the key to staying successful/sane? For a couple weeks I was really pushing it even past my weekly goals and it was starting to get to me because it was all I was doing when not taking care of my family. I can't imagine what it is like for those that rely completely on mturk as their only income.
So alegion throws up another spaces batch around midnight but... it stayed around 260 all night. No one working or no one wanting to do those? lol I was surprised to see them up this morning. I went to sleep at 7:30 cause I had migraine auras and figured I'd sleep since Alegion was likely to post the 1.00 ones in the middle of the night. And instead they post more .50 lol Set my alarm a few times to check but then I was wide awake at 1am so had to watch tv for a couple hours. That's what I get for sleeping so early lol
Google translate says it means "Your response has been recorded." I guess I will go with that instead of my worker ID. 응답이 기록되었습니다
It can be key! Have you ever had an irl job? If it's something that's not enjoyable, or has an element of stress, you can burn out quick if it's all you do. There was a brief period when I had an irl job transitioning from mturk, and the first day I was completing all my tasks as quickly as possible, just out of habit from turking so long. I was told I could come in and leave whenever I wanted, so that day I ended up going home early (and making less). Then, the next day I stretched out my tasks like all the other people in the office were doing (when not playing facebook games or watching youtube) and after a week of this, I realized there was a nagging feeling that I always had when turking - like I was always racing against the timer, always on the edge of burnout. - that had vanished! I'd since quit the job but that feeling creeps on me every now and then. That's why if you're able to meet your goals, don't push it... that saved sanity from not burning out could even translate to extra earnings if it puts you in a more productive/better/sharper mode another day. Of course if you aren't able to meet your goals and have bills then maybe there's no choice, but mturk is no joke... sometimes it's as if you're cramming 2 or 3-hour shifts into 1, and that's just unnatural, which is why turking everyday is not healthy (but that's also why I set unhealthy weeklies which can create unnatural days but that's still better than that feeling I allude to building up continuously with no days of break)
Good morning/good evening! Glad the forum is loading okay today. It was annoying yesterday that I didn't feel like going on the forum.

Better than what I have on repeat while working today? I miss the 90's.
Mindless 90's music is the best for turking. I know all the words by heart so I can dance in my seat and sing along without losing productivity.
Around December 2014 I reviewed the year and realized I mostly turked, and I have very few memories of doing anything else. Pretty much my entire year down the drain. This year...still can't find a balance between turking and a normal life. So far, it's been the same. A sixth of my year down the drain. I really need to figure something out. Because I am mortal.

What I end up doing is turking a ton until I burn out and have a little savings and then take a month or two off. Not intentionally but that's what keeps ending up happening.

I was a teacher before becoming stay at home mom. While we do not rely on my income, what I make does help decide if we have extra for wants or paying off debt. I have been turking nonstop since the beginning of December last year (so not long) and was starting to feel the burn out. I had decided saturday that I am going to take weekends off. Sunday I pretty much only did a survey that was emailed to me and the micrsoft study I was in the middle of. I feel like turking more now knowing I have some days off ahead of me.
