I didn't hate it as much as most people and I hope they're will be a sequel. The one part that I reeeeally hated was the 2 numbnuts scientists that decided to try and make friends with the alien snake. Tooooo stupid.
You are a fool. When you are on an alien planet and there are dead bodies everywhere, when an unknown species comes up to you, you try to caress it. What about your surroundings could possibly indicate this is a poor decision
Hated that. As if pinheads would be sent on such an important mission. Also I feel like it's incredibly rare to see a sci-fi concept that hasn't already been covered by either one of 2 shows. The original Star Trek and The Twilight Zone.
I wouldn't go so far as to call it a bad movie because it did well enough to keep my attention, but when it ended it felt like there should be a TUNE IN NEXT WEEK TO FIND OUT prompt. Really it felt like those responsible for putting it together backed themselves into a corner writing it and instead of fixing it said **** IT SOMEBODY WILL BUY THIS
It depends on what you're after. I grew up on the franchise so I have very strong feelings about them. The first aliens movie was very different than the second, which was different than the third. I like anything set in the universe, but my favorite was the 1st one, many people prefer the 2nd. 1st was more survival horror, I like that element more than the big guns space army theme of Aliens.
Just ate an extra 900 calories worth of cookies and need to go run a few miles so I can stop feeling guilty. Dat feel.
The reason I liked the second one was how they reversed the whole "artificial intelligence vs humans" tension. (if you get my drift) I thought that final scene involving the robot and little girl was also just awesomely done!!
