Those are a trip. Caravaggio's style always seemed kind a bit cartoonish to me due to the way that he manages to get his colors to looked so punched out by using sharp shadows and particular lighting.

His are the ones I got the chills from watching, and I don't get why because I expected to feel unimpressed by the movement when the shadows aren't moving. Thought the softer paintings would trick my eye better... but I guess with Caravaggio it doesn't matter if your eye gets tricked into believing it's "realistic."
