i swear there are survey's out there just put up to give data for some twisted student's psych paper. like on how much aggravation someone will go through to get paid.
and one where after 15 minutes of bubble hell it says I'M NOT ELIGIBLE! or one that made me watch the same damn disturbing video over and over again until i assumed the hit was broken and returned it THEN it finally let me through with no way to report and get paid (i had the survey on a different tab then the hit window, returned the hit but didn't close the survey).
If you don't do surveys, what kind of HITS make up the bulk of your turking? Transcriptions? Batches?
Batches, just by their name. They are large chunks of HITs. I'd say 50% of all my HITs have come from about 10 or so different requesters.
Those were a click-a-thon, for sure. Penny HITs can be magnificent. The mini PPC WWBP batches earlier were - 5 minute AA for a quick coupla bucks.
2013-07-30 Matthew Holder Data Clean up: Names of people $0.01 Paid Same HITs diff name. He gave out some rejections but then reversed them. I think I got 9.
Would you believe, I'm turking on a Greyhound bus? These things have leather seats, WiFi & outlets. I was hella shocked when I got on here....
and those stories are just from this site. before i came here i was using another survey site that had a real gem. about half way through the survey the next button stopped appearing. i figured out that if i reload the page and immediately hit the next button (it appears for a second when the page is loaded then disappears) it will say finish the page before and the button won't disappear. after doing that about a dozen times i made it through the damn survey extremely aggravated.
And back when SET-Masters weren't as well-known... I'd get 400+ every morning (.01 a piece) . Now i'm getting right at a hundred.
