You hide posts on reddit, I disable avatars and forum sigs here As far as the Nate stuff, yeah, if there's a decent batch posts it can get really repetitive, especially if it's something you aren't qualified to do or have no interest in. *shrug* None of these places are perfect. HWTF especially burns me though, because it has the potential to be such a great place for something many turkers clearly want (just easy to find HITs with no banter or other irrelevant posts) yet they've absolutely ruined it for the sake of whoring a few bucks on ad.fly. It's just bitchin' to see someone post a link to some 40 cent survey here, and watch the scammers race to repost it on reddit with additional ad.fly monetizing malware links.
Liat Amram is extremely close to being my #1 requester, once the HITs pay - ~$125. Insane that it all came from one batch over 2 days. Beatty is at #8, soon to be #9 for me. At least Crowdflower is no longer in my top 10 lol

I think people tend to forget that forums like this are made to be social and talk on. Someone posts, you reply. Whereas Reddit is set up to just post hits and thats it. That's why I don't understand why people come here and complain about posts that don't have HITs them. I have to question if they have ever been on a forum before or if they are only reddit users. Message boards are a form of social networking. Why complain when people are being social?
Because the message board is going the way of IRC chat...It's an older form of communication that the younger generations (admittedly, I include myself there) aren't as comfortable with. We desire real-time (ish) communication for social communications. Anything that's not real-time is not meant for social talking...at least, that's my take on it.

Yeah, just don't click any of the links you're exposed to and you'll be fine. However, just as an experiment.....turn off adblock plus, or whatever you use. Click on an ad.fly link, and instead of waiting for the ad to go away, start clicking on the various 'offers' that you see. I dunno, maybe iLivid download manager is actually a wonderful thing that will help your computer.l
I perfectly understand the difference between a public forum and a bookmarking site. I'm not that daft. When 90% of the posts are comments, it kind of loses its purpose. Like I said, I wasn't complaining. It was tongue and cheek. Geez, this may be my last post.
