CopyText Inc. - Rejection I've just received my first-ever rejection notice. It is from CopyText Inc. The rejection notice is truly inexplicable. It shows quite clearly that all of my entries matched the requested text perfectly. Therefore the rejection is clearly invalid. Of course I am submitting a complaint. __________ UPDATE (July 4): I have received an informative reply from CopyText. In fact there was an error in my entries for that HIT, although (for some technical reason) the rejection message did not show the error. I was wrong. CopyText was correct to reject the HIT!
Could you paste what they said in the comments section, and may be we can look it up for you? Sometimes, its just a character here and there that we miss. They give some 3 warnings, after that they reject the HITS. I am speaking from experience Please copy-paste the comment.
Sorry I'm not pasting the rejection notice here in the forum, but I pasted it into my complaint message and I am waiting for a reply from CopyText. In addition to checking again visually, I have used a text-editor with a highlighting search function to verify complete and exact matches on every entry.
Interestingly, the rejection notice listed 4 entries from the HIT, as if to show that all of those 4 entries were wrong -- when in fact they were all clealry correct -- they match exactly; every letter, every number, and every punctuation character is exactly correct; there are no discrepancies at all. What a strange rejection. If it cannot be rescinded, I won't do any further work for CopyText. I want to keep my rejection rate very low. I've only submitted about 800 total HITs up to now, but this is the ONLY rejection I have received. Since this rejection is clearly incorrect and undeserved, I reject the rejection!

Yep. ;-) My error was a missing space between two characters -- but one of those characters (and thus the location of the missing space) was not shown in the rejection message (due to an MTurk technical limitation, apparently). IIUC, CopyText has now made some changes to improve the rejection messages.
I attempted to do a few of these a while back. I got quite a few rejections because they said I typed in the wrong info. I can't see how I would have done that so many times. I think I will just stay clear of these.
I've done lots of these HITs. I like them. Keeps my mind active. There's not only typing . You are encouraged to pay attention, to think at what you do... It's quite a challenge, and I love challenges! I also got few rejections, but what can I say .. it was my mistake... So, I'm not upset, but I became even more ambitious to do the HIT as it should be done. And I succeed! Anyway,hapless, I admire that you post the fact that you were wrong and requestor was right! Quite an attitude! Bravo! I wish to see this on TurkOpticon, too. Too many people make a bad reputation to a requestor, just because they are in a hurry to post, without waiting to see that they are really right, or they indeed did a mistake! I'll never post something on somebody until I'm not convinced that I am right!
