I've always submitted with my id# and then finish the survey and send the survey code to the requester when I get it. Never had a problem. The only potential problem is that it goes on for another full hour or something and you can't bail.
I wrote to ask about that since the pay is different on the previous HIT. I saw that someone got rejected for taking it again so I inquired about that. She said we can take it.
I've done that too. Never had issues with that either. There are rare times I've had surveys expire on me without realizing it. Now I have panda crazy on the side in view so that when it is about to expire, it will let me know.
I heard back from Mr. Critical Thinking Expert. "I would need some clarity from your side. Have you completed the survey and gotten your code?" he said, in reply to the email in which I explained that I had completed the survey and gave him my completion code. I responded by telling him exactly what I thought of his critical thinking skills. Which is probably likely to lessen my already miniscule chances of being paid, but Jesus Christ... A person can only take so much bullshit before they snap. It looked like I had eight minutes left--no idea why, but it did. Then I hit submit and found out it had already expired and wasn't in my queue any more.
