Hi Friends, I have a lot of confusion doing these hits.Even though many discussions were already taken place in the great hits , I wanted to start a separate thread for him. Hits are getting increased. Pl share your opinions about this hit.
I am going deep into these HITS. They have replied to both emails I sent them pretty quick. You have hit on the flaw in this series of HITs. Across the thousands of suggestions in all the hits, there are just over 1,300 suggestions which are exactly the same as the initial term. They shouldn't be in the HITs, but they are, and it's my fault. If you see one of these going forward, I would prefer that you just labeled it a Replacement. Obviously, I won't reject anyone's judgments on those duplicate suggestions. And You're not over-thinking. I just wasn't clear enough in my introduction to the task. In the example you cite, yes, "tim tebow jesus pose" would be considered a refinement of the incomplete phrase "tim te." It may not be the best or most logical refinement, but it is a reasonable refinement.
Nobody knows. It will probably be fine, but for me the risk was too much for an untested requester. I only did one.
Did anyone notice what Gaylon's approval time was for these hits? Not that I'm worried about having 1700 hits pending for 2 days or anything
I have about 500 pending with him. It was straight forward so the only way I can get rejected is if he just decides to straight up scam everyone. From his replies to other turkers he seemed like a good guy. I'm just confused at the batch. It was like he uploaded the wrong stuff or something.
Bummer. I only completed a few to test the requester out and Im starting to see some rejections. Bad HITs.
The moment of truth. I had 33 pending from him, he rejected 6 of them. Not so bad for me but its going to hurt others I know it.
Updated: 1704 approved and 5 rejected---- so I think he isn't rejection happy. I know there were a some that I probably made a mistake on and a few that I know I submitted with an answer that I hadn't meant to click. He seems to be going through my batch right now, I'll update when finished. So far, I'm okay with his rejection rate.
WTF, I got EIGHT rejections, and I actually had a conversation with the requester that day where he told me not to sweat it too much, given the confusion about the hits. What. The. Hell.
TO reviews were pretty gud yesterday, so i take a chance, moreover hits completed in a flash. really really scared now for any mass rejection
