Hi - I'm just starting and a bit intimidated. Haven't begun anything yet. A question or two. First, how many hits are expected to be done in 60 minutes time? When I see a listing with more than 14,000 hits, I am wondering what I am expected to do in 60 minutes. Can I begin again after the hour is up or do I need to find another project? Oh, I did say this is an intro. I'm anne, found this online and have a lot of time that needs to be used productively. Thanks for any advice.
That timer I believe is referring to the hit timer. It is just for the single hit you are doing and how much time till it expires. Most can be done much faster than the timer allowed. I hope this is what you were referring to.
I'm with Anne....I am new to this also. So.....how many hits would an average turker accomplish in an hour?
Ok, thanks, I think you are saying what I see on screen at the time is what is going to be there for one hour. So there is no timer timing me?!
anne53: OK. I am going to need you to explain that a little better. to flower: It depends on the type of hit you are doing. Transcription might take you an hour to do 1 hit. Or you might find a penny hit that takes 10 seconds. It really depends on the type of hits you are doing. Hope this helps.
Thanks - I think I get it. I was looking for more simpler things. It says I can't do transcription, etc, yet as I'm not qualified until I build a work base first. So yeah, I was looking at the penny and two cents items.
Where you see it says 60 minutes, that is just the time the requester allotted for you to complete that 1 Hit. You may be able to do it in say, 30 seconds to 10 minutes. Once you submit the HIT, you can then do another HIT right away, no need to wait till the 60 minutes is up. Some requesters will allow an ample amount of time to complete a HIT while others do not give the time out so freely, so honestly, for being new to all of this, it is a good thing you noticed the time limit listed!
Hello all. Can someone point in the right direction? I am signed up on Mturk and also Castingwords. I downloaded ExpressScribe. Now what? Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
