Would it be possible to create a script that adds an option to the right click menu to paste your worker ID? Or would this require tweaking with the source code? It is not a huge deal, but going to a new tab to get my ID is a pet peeve of mine.
i know what you mean, i had to pin it writ large on my noticeboard over my desk. You would think we would all know that sucker off by heart by now lol.
While you still have to copy it, this script will make it display at the top of every page http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/126924
The issue I have with that script is that when you use the zoom function, it gets messed up, and my worker ID ends up getting cut off. While it is useful, I feel like this could be a real possibility. I am looking at my options right now, and there do seem to be some programs that would allow me to code this.
Another option would be to install AutoHotKey and bind it to a key combo. This is surprisingly easy and also lets you automate other mindless tasks - as many as you want, really. I strongly recommend it for anyone who works at a keyboard all day.
I really appreciate your help. It doesn't help me as I have a Mac, but I will look for similar software. Thanks!
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/mywords/?src=search this is a firefox add on. i use this. right click + click
this will display your id in a small box on accepted hits, qualtrics and survey monkey pages http://mturkforum.com/showthread.php?4443-Worker-ID-Copy-Paste
I have been using it for the last few days, and completely forgot to update this thread. Thank you so much for taking your time to make this, I really appreciate it!
