UPDATE! Master Qualif is set as a 'default' when HIT created - Attention ALL!! EDIT 1/27/2013: Requesters are unchecking the 'Masters Qual.' selection, but finding they have to instead CANCEL their HIT and then resubmit it for the change to take effect. Just by deselecting the 'Masters' qualif' and resubmitting it, will NOT fix the problem. Complaints/Concerns about the 'Master Qualif' default? Send an e-mail to: jeff@amazon.com (Jeffrey P. Bezos, CEO). Perhaps, he will take notice of this issue if enough people voice their opinion. http://www.amazon.com/gp/pdp/profile/A2KEKKJ9CAC2KC :horn: ================================================ Orig. Perhaps you are unaware of this fact. By default, Amazon sets a Masters qualifier on a HIT, which isn't really mentioned by Amazon. Requesters are charged 3x’s as much for Masters HITs. Many requesters are unaware of this default and take the Masters Qual off their HITS. Many good workers are being blocked from working relatively easy hits. And, requesters are not getting their work done in a timely manner. Let's make this a win-win for all! How to turn of Master Qualif as told by a requester: "You can really only do it if you have selected a "custom" format, I think. I did it by going to: https://requester.mturk.com/create/projects -Click Edit on my Project -On the "Enter Properties" page, click "Advanced" then "Worker Requirements" -Click "Customize Worker Requirements" -Remove all the criterion for workers -It was kind of hard to find and I don't know how it works if you're doing a pre-built project". You must ** Resubmit the HIT(s) ** in order for the change to take place. ===== zoom all the way out on the first one: http://techlist.com/mturk/global-mturk-worker-map.php http://turkrequesters.blogspot.com/2012/11/thought-masters-was-just-bad-for-non.html Complaints/Concerns about the 'Master Qualif' default?
