Hi, I'm a writer and have just decided to use MTurk directly for transcription work in order to "cut out the middle man" - and enable Turkers to earn the money instead! I'll popping up from time to time with transcription HITs - usually audio interviews of around 20-30 minutes in clear English - and will be offering better rates of pay than the big firms. Hi and welcome, what is your requesters name? Also it would be good to know how you plan to start your work on MTurk. Do you have any experience in providing crowdworkng tasks or will it be more interface/style-guide testing in the beginning?
My requester name is Stuart Hughes and the work will be transcribing fairly long audio interviews in the same style as CastingWords - but all the work will be for my own direct use, with no "middle man" between the Turker and me.
