I just discovered the requester Sam Sam rejected one of my HITs today, and I'm fuming.
This was for a writing HIT, and even though I wrote the content 100% myself, I still double check everything in Copyscape. In this case, he also mentioned in his HIT that we needed to check our work on Plagarium, another site like Copyscape- and I checked my work in both of them just to cover all my bases.

The results came back with NO similar content- (i think he mentioned in his HIT it had to be under 5%, but mine had 0% similarities to anything on both Copyscape and Plagarium).

Today I saw he rejected it on the grounds that it was plagiarized.

I've worked him in the past, but it's been awhile- I took a bit of a hiatus on MTurk and just came back. Never had an issue before, but I'm really upset. I work VERY hard to make sure my work is top quality, and would NEVER plagiarize- he aid it had to be under 5%, and if it had come back as even 1%, I'd have reworked it until i hit zero, just on principle.

I save screenshots of every hit I complete- in this case, i kept one of the content I wrote, and screenshots of it in copyscape and plagarium, so I have concrete proof. I emailed the requester (SAM SAM) today asking him to consider reversing the rejection, and told him i didn't care about payment (so long as he wasn't using my content), but haven't heard back. Not holding my breath. I was very respectful; offered to send him the screenshots, and explained his rejection could harm my reputation for future work, but if the guy unfairly rejected it in the first place, odds are my email aren't going to inspire an ethical rebound.

Has anyone had experience with him, or with this type of situation? What did you guys do? I feel like we have no recourse with this stuff. Obviously I won't do hits for him again, but it's humiliating to be accused of plagiarism, when I know I didn't.

Any thoughts, opinions, etc. would be hugely appreciated.
    Thanks

I wanted to write a quick update about this:

I just logged into my email, and discovered an email from the requester (Sam Sam), who told me that he'd been using a new assistant, and that he would reverse the rejection. He also apologized, and gave me a very generous bonus, too.:faint2:

I'm sort of in shock right now, b/c as i mentioned in my previous post, I've been burned before, and I also told him not to worry about payment; he definitely went above and beyond in this situation.

So, as it turns out, there are some really awesome requesters out there, and mistakes do happen. There's been times (for example, today...) when I felt like I was wasting my breath for even bothering to try and get the issue resolved, so this has definitely renewed my faith for today.

In the event anyone is thinking about doing a hit for this requester; he does post them often, and as I said before, I'd never had a problem until today, and when I did, he got back to me within a few hours to fix it, so he's definitely a good guy.

Thanks for lettin' me vent

In the meantime, I'll be busy taking my foot out of my mouth... :behindsofa:
