I have heard from some poeple online that requesters who offer over $5.00 for taking a survey, normally means that it is a scam. Have any of you found this to be true?

I have found that many times a requester will label his HIT as a “survey” when it really isn’t.

I have done a few HITs in the past for > $5. They are very few and very far between. Usually, they are long and require participation on multiple days. It all depends on the researcher / requester.

I would say 99.99% of the “surveys” that ask you for your address and personal information are affiliate marketing schemes. They might label it as a “survey” but in reality, you are applying for a credit report, college enrollment information or some other scheme.

If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
